Alwany Interschool Art Competition

30th Oct 2016 - AJM Kooheji Group in association with the Ministry of Education launched the third annual Alwany Art Competition at their Ma’ameer showroom. The competition was held for a period of 2 days; 30th and 31st of October 2016.  Owing to the wide participation and the success of the previous editions, the capacity of the competition has increased and a total of over 500 students are expected to participate over the 2 days.


On the first day (30th October) the competition will take place at the AJM Kooheji Group Ma’amer (YAMAHA) Showroom and on 31st October it will take place at the LG Sehla Showroom.


The competition was divided into 4 categories - Category 1 consisting of students from the 1st to the 3rd grade, Category 2 consisting of students from the 4th to the 6th grade, Category 3 consisting of students from the 7th to the 9th grade and Category 4 consisting of students from the 10th to the 12th grade. All the categories were evaluated by eminent judges from the Ministry of Education who are experienced and skilled in the field of art.


Gracing the occasion was Mr. Mohammed Kooheji, Director, AJM Kooheji Group. While inquiring with him on the event he stated, “We are happy to launch the 3rd Annual Al Wany Competition today. This year as you can see the event has moved to a much larer scale as compared to the last 2 years. Eventually, it will be a competition that all students will look forward to in the future. We are very thankful to the Ministry of Education for associating with us for this event.”


The top 3 drawings from each category will be awarded trophies, cash prizes, certificates along with some fantastic electronic products such as TV’s, Home Theatre’s and Portable Speakers from AJM Kooheji Group.


In addition to the awardees at the event, the artists will further get a chance to win; as all the paintings will be uploaded on the AJM Kooheji Group Instagram Pages. Post the upload the student has to acquire maximum number of likes on his/her painting by the 20th of November 2016.


Speaking at the event the Ministry of Education official stated, “It is a wonderful opportunity for all the kids to showcase their talent. Alwany has always been a platform set for young and budding artists. We are grateful to AJM Kooheji Group for setting up this platform 2 years ago and taking it further step by step to eventually make it reach a much bigger scale”.
